This electronic quartet from Newcastle, Australia are always working on new material. Sardonica weave many different styles into their releases. From Through To Reality to Incarnate, there's been a huge leap in their sound. From the airy synths of Cielo to the driving bass in Fork In The Road, they've tried to always vary and experiment with new styles. While currently being exclusively an instrumental band, they look to try working with vocals soon in the future. They've attempted this, to some weird success.

Grizzly began his artistry in late 2010. Balancing schoolwork and his job at a fast food restaurant, Grizzly started making mixes and mashups using both Virtual DJ and Audacity. His first mashup album “Keep Your Distance” consists of his favourite projects redone in higher quality, as well as a few new tracks and two ~20 minute sets. It will be released on the 2nd of February 2011. Stay tuned for more sets, as he is still just starting out, and is looking forward to making many more mixes in the near future.

Crystal Palace is a one-member ambient electronic project creating soft easy-listening tracks through software synthesizers, drum machines and more conventional instruments - where inspiration derives from 80's production to development in early 90's ambient music. Also a fan of drum beats and slight experimentation in composition, they've experimented with styles such as chipmusic. Previous production credits include work such as Cielo for Sardonica. They are currently working on their debut self-titled album.

Bobby Vanilla is the creator of Funkeh Chikun and one of the founding members of Sardonica. He began creating electronic music in 2005 and hasn't stopped since. Whilst composing with Sardonica, Bobby also releases other material such as Tarot Garden, his 2010 solo demo tape, and his upcoming duo hip-hop project A World Without Colour. Bobby's goal for 2011 is to create at least one demo per night and to make at least one release per fortnight. How long this will hold is anyone's guess, but it will hopefully continue into 2012.

Strange People In My Bedroom are a musical collective which traces its origins to a party Bobby Vanilla once had. They decided to take over his room and record a live cover of Mumford & Sons' Little Lion Man which included other FC artist Crystal Palace. Bobby shook his head and then gave them the name they have today. Perhaps the most 'natural' of Funkeh Chikun's signings, Strange People In My Bedroom plan on making many more covers at Bobby's gatherings, including a cover of Hey There Delilah by the Plain White T's.

Style: Spontaneous Live Acoustic

Members: Chris Alderton (aka. Chia L'Etranger), Mathew Dwyer and Emma Drury

Formed in late 2010, Ink Ran Dry are a young female duo with high aspirations. They associate themselves with Neo-Pagan beliefs and, with the assistance of Midnight Trick, the pair are currently working on their first album entitled We're Oracles Because Prophets Are So Lame. While much younger than everyone else signed to Funkeh Chikun, they show a bright spark for creativity and have written a large amount of songs. The only step they have left is to actually get around to recording something.
